National Insurance Academy (NIA) Pune has a 32 acres campus. NIA Infrastructure includes the administrative, academic, hostel and residential facilities amidst lush greenery. NIA Pune facilities include Bank, Post Office, Dispensary, Sports complex, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool. NIA Pune Library is well stocked with print and digital study material.
NIA Pune infrastructure includes 10 Air-Conditioned lecture halls equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Six of these classrooms are dedicated for PGDM Students. Other NIA Pune facilities include 8 syndicate rooms to facilitate group discussions, case studies, presentations and deliberations. Separate reading rooms are also available for the use of the students. Important NIA Pune Facilities details are given below:
Convention Centre: There is also a best-in-class auditorium with a seating capacity of 220 with excellent audiovisual system.
Glimpse into NIA Library: It is one of the few libraries in India having the choicest collection of books in life Insurance, non-life insurance and management areas. The reading room of this library is equipped with almost all national and international journals in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Pensions and related areas including journals for general awareness and entertainment. A variety of research publications add further value to this already rich knowledge bank.
Computer Facilities: NIA has a Windows based LAN, connected to state-ofthe-art terminals spread all over the establishment. The Academy has IT park classroom for IT training. Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus.
Insurance Labs: The academy fosters a unique concept known as Insurance Labs. There are motor lab, marine lab and health lab for the students to get practical knowledge on related general insurance subjects.
Hostel: The student’s hostel “Sarvapalli” has fully furnished spacious rooms. The hostels are separate for male and female students. It has 24 hours uninterrupted power and water supply. Round the clock security is provided in the hostel and in the rest of the campus. There is also the Internet facility with Wi-Fi connectivity for the students in the rooms.
