Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) was established in 1979 to form competent and committed leaders who are ethical, principle-centered and socially responsible with a global perspective and entrepreneurial spirit. LIBA is managed by Jesuits of the Loyola College Society well-known for their outstanding contribution to higher education.
Ranked 66, in NIRF Ranking 2024 among top 125 management institutes, LIBA offers its flagship 2 years full time residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to MBA.
LIBA has a consistent record of 100% placements since inception. In Placements 2024, LIBA has registered highest salary package of Rs 21 LPA and average salary at Rs.11 LPA. Students are placed in 14 distinct industries for Final Placements. More than 50 companies participated in Final Placements. The PGDM 2021-23 batch at LIBA received a total of 177 placement offers out of which 20% of them were PPOs. The average package at LIBA Chennai saw an increase of 7.1% to Rs. 11.6 LPA while the highest package offered was Rs. 20.5 LPA. A total of 59 companies including 21 new recruiters participated in LIBA Placements 2023. Some of the top companies are Asian Paints, JP Morgan Chase & Co, HDFC Bank, Deloitte, Cognizant, Crisil, EY, HSBC, Tata Motors, Schneider Electric among others.

LIBA’s AICTE Approved programme in management leading to the Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) spans over two years consisting of six terms. The Programme aims to form competent and committed leaders who are ethical, principle-centered and socially responsible with a global perspective and entrepreneurial spirit.
The flagship 2 years full time residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to MBA.
LIBA has established Centers of Excellence in Logistics & Supply Chain, Business Ethics & Corporate Governance, Loyola Inclusive Innovation Impact Centre (L3IC), Prof. C.K.Prahalad Centre for Emerging India and Informatics Centre to hone the skills of students consistently.

In LIBA, students do not write exams. There are no mid-term or end term exams. Instead, there is a Formative Assessment in which every session ends with an assessment of learning.

Admissions
LIBA accepts CAT and XAT score for admission to its PGDM programme. Apart from submitting application for LIBA Chennai admission and scoring well in CAT/XAT exams, you need some qualities, qualification and attributes that LIBA admission process looks for which include Good aptitude demonstrated through entrance exam scores; Good past academic performance; Diversity across multiple dimensions, problem solving and communication skills. LIBA Chennai Admission Process is designed keeping in mind the above requirements. Here are the key Steps of LIBA Chennai Admission Process:
Step-1: Apply and Appear in one of the Entrance Exams CAT and XAT
Step-2: LIBA Chennai Shortlists candidates Final Selection GD-PI round based on entrance exam score, Academic profile, Diversity, Extra Curricular and others. In case both CAT and XAT exams are taken by the applicant, LIBA will short-list the candidates for the interview, based on their best available test scores
Step-3: After the GD-PI round, admission offers are made by LIBA to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Quality of Work Experience among others. Performance in Personal Interview (PI) will be awarded high weightage in final selection criteria. The evaluation criteria in final selection will also look into the academic year arrears. As per the admission policy LIBA does not admit candidates with a history of more than 2 arrears.
LIBA Chennai – How to Apply
The aspirants desirous of seeking admission at LIBA should apply by registering online. Before you apply, make sure you have the required documents comprising- Scanned passport size photograph, Scanned academic certificates, Scanned work experience certificates.LIBA application process is as below:
- Log on to LIBA Admission Website
- Click on the Apply Now link on the home page to create a User Registration. The details of the user ID and password will be sent to your registered email ID. If you forgot your password please click the reset link on the login page.
- After login into your account using your user name and password, enter your CAT ID / XAT ID, personal details and upload your passport size photograph. Enter your academic details and upload all the support documents.
- Enter your work experience details and upload the support documents. Provide your reference information.
- Confirm all the details and submit the application form. Pay online the registration fees through credit card / Debit Card /Net Banking.
- Download the completed application in PDF and email it to LIBA

Infrastructure
LIBA Chennai has a large green and Wi-Fi enabled campus. The scenic surrounding, the calm and serene atmosphere provide a comfortable and conducive environment for learning. LIBA has AC classrooms equipped with instructor computer and multimedia projection and audio systems.
LIBA has excellent hostels, for men and women, located within the campus. The hostels with well-furnished rooms, provide an ideal ambience to make residents feel at home.. The hostels have wired internet connectivity. The Men’s hostel is a multi-storied building. A single room is allotted to each student. The hostel includes indoor sporting facilities and a common room on the ground floor. Residents can use the Loyola College boarding facilities.
LIBA has a spacious library that facilitates the research needs of students and the faculty. There are more than 37,000 physical books and 46 periodicals that are centered around management topics. LIBA has a huge playground to play basketball, badminton, volleyball, cricket, etc. The college also has an indoor sports stadium. LIBA Chennai houses a cafeteria serving good hygienic food at affordable prices. The campus has health care facilities.
