IIM Admission Process
Admission Process for Candidates for MBA (PGP) at IIM Lucknow is through CAT. The admission of the candidates for admission to the MBA at IIM Lucknow is a two-step process:
In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Detailed Admission process is as below:
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for PI round which is conducted in many cities
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
- After the PI round, IIM Lucknow will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Lucknow to successful candidates.
- The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics, diversity, work experience among others
How to Apply
- For IIM Lucknow PGP admission, the applicant should Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam.
- On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Lucknow PGP and other programs and select the interview city.
- Your application for IIM Lucknow admission is submitted.
- You do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Lucknow Admission.
- After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Lucknow website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password
IIM Selection Process
- All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to IIM Lucknow
- For the candidates who have appeared in PI-WAT round, a composite score for final selection will be derived using the parameters and the corresponding weights as given below. This composite score will be used for preparation of category-wise merit list for final selection.

IIM Lucknow conducted the final Placements 2024 in two tiers. Tier-1 was Higher Entry Placement Process (HEPP) which was conducted for the students with 12 months or more of work experience. Tier-2 was the final placement process for all the students who were eligible to participate for company placement processes.
It may be noted that prior to 2020, IIM Lucknow did not provide its placement salary data which is now released by it. IIM Lucknow was established in 1984 and is the 4th oldest IIM in the family of 20 IIMs. It came into being after IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Bangalore. IIM Lucknow is one of top rated B schools in the country. In the Govt of India, MHRD NIRF Ranking 2023, IIM Lucknow is ranked #6 and in MBAUniverse.com ranking 2024 it is also ranked # 6. In 2005 IIM Lucknow expanded its area of influence in management education by setting up a satellite campus for executive education at NOIDA in Delhi NCR making IIM Lucknow as the first IIM to set up such a campus in the country.
Infrastructure
IBS Jaipur, set in the “Pink City” or “Paris of India”, brings together excellent infrastructure along with the finest faculty to train and develop every student into a manager who is ready to perform in the corporate world.
ICFAI Business School Jaipur Campus is spread over 40 acres of land. IBS Jaipur has 3.4 lakhs sq. ft. of built-up area with academic blocks and classrooms which are well- equipped with latest audio-visual equipment. IBS Jaipur has well-equipped library, labs and computer centre. IBS Jaipur has separate hostel for girls and boys, managed by the University and are allotted on first come first served basis.
